Tigers pick up commit from Alberta forward

Tristan-Zandee-6-1024x726Center Tristan Zandee, 15, and the leading goal scorer for the Airdrie CFR Bisons of the Alberta Midget Hockey League, announced his commitment to Colorado College on Thursday night via Twitter.

He is expected to join the National Collegiate Hockey Conference program with the start of the 2022-23 season. The 6-foot, 180-pounder leads the Bisons in goals (20) and is tied for the  team lead in points (34)  in 32 games. He played one game (no points) for the Alberta junior league’s Spruce Grove Saints this season.

The Chestermere, Alberta native has competed for the Western Canada Selects team three of the past four seasons and for Team Central in the Alberta Cup last season. He was drafted 36th overall in the 2018 WHL bantam draft by his hometown Calgary Hitmen, who penned this article on him.
