In the pros: Bachman gets first win, Schwartz first goal, of season

jaden draft imageDallas Stars backup goalie Richard Bachman eked out a win over Vancouver. The former Tiger may get more starts after an injury to Kari Lehtonen forced his entry into the game.

Jaden Schwartz scored his first of the year and assisted the next goal to stake St. Louis to a 2-0 lead in a 5-2 win at struggling Calgary.

  1. Pete Moulton says:

Good stuff, Joe. Jaden looks right at home in the NHL, much as I could wish he was still with the Tigers. Sweet move on that goal, very big league, but the seeing-eye pass to Berglund on the second goal was right out of the Schwartz playbook. Given his size, vision and quick hands, I could see Jaden as the second coming of Ray Whitney, and that’s no bad thing.
