Rapuzzi sparks Tigers to 1-0 lead

cc__w_rapuzzi-0318Colorado College senior captain William Rapuzzi scored on a shorthanded breakaway with 3:29 left in the first period during a delayed St. Cloud State penalty to stake the visiting Tigers to a 1-0 lead.

CC sophomore defenseman Peter Stoykewych controlled the puck and drew a penalty on SCSU captain Ben Hanowski, passing to freshman right wing Jared Hanson, who sent the puck to Rapuzzi, who scored his 10th of the season. It was Hanson’s first assist as a Tiger.

SCSU (9-7, 7-5 WCHA) will have 1:16 left on a power play to start the second period.
