Colorado College freshman Cody Bradley scored his first goal as a Tiger with 5:04 remaining to give CC a short-lived 2-0 lead over St. Cloud State during the second period.
The host Huskies (9-7, 7-5 WCHA) would score off a rebound 33 seconds later to make it 2-1 entering the third period. SCSU will have 1:31 left on a power play to start the final frame after having most of a power play to start the second earlier in the game.
Tiger senior captain William Rapuzzi scored on a shorthanded breakaway with 3:29 left in the first period during a delayed St. Cloud State penalty to stake the visiting Tigers to a 1-0 lead.
CC sophomore defenseman Peter Stoykewych controlled the puck and drew a penalty on SCSU captain Ben Hanowski, passing to freshman right wing Jared Hanson, who sent the puck to Rapuzzi, who scored his 10th of the season. It was Hanson’s first assist as a Tiger.
