Falcons take 1-0 lead into first intermission

Air Force fourth-line center Jason Fabian banged in a loose puck in front of the Colorado College net to give the host Falcons a 1-0 lead through one period.

“There was a lot of hard work on that line,” Fabian said. “It just happened to get to me and I put it in the net.”

Both teams clogged up the neutral zone. The Tigers used long passes from their end to a wing along the boards, who sent the puck into the Falcons zone to try to set up some scoring chances. CC out shot Air Force 8-3 but Jason Torf only had to make two good saves
