DULUTH — Senior forward Mike Seidel had two goals and an assist while sophomore forward Caleb Herbert dished out three assists to lead Minnesota Duluth to a 6-2 win against Ohio State on Friday night at AMSOIL Arena.

KANSAS CITY — Nebraska Omaha earned a spot in the championship game of the Icebreaker against No. 14 Notre Dame with a 5-1 win over Army on Friday night at the Sprint Center. Zahn Raubenheimer paced the Mavericks’ attack with a goal and two assists.

Alaska Anchorage 2, Canisius 0

ANCHORAGE — Junior goaltender Chris Kamal posted his fourth career shutout with a 14 save performance as Alaska Anchorage defeated Canisius, 2-0, in opening day action at the Kendall Hockey Classic at Sullivan Arena.

MINNEAPOLIS — Junior forward Nick Bjugstad scored a goal and added an assist and junior Michael Shibrowski made 25 saves to help Minnesota earn a 5-1 win against Michigan State on Friday night at Mariucci Arena.

Northern Michigan 2, No.  15 Wisconsin 1

GREEN BAY — Junior forward Michael Mersch scored a power-play goal but the Wisconsin Badgers were defeated by the Northern Michigan Wildcats, 2-1, on Friday night at Resch Center.

Minnesota State 4, Alabama-Huntsville 1

HUNTSVILLE — Sophomore forward Chase Grant scored a hat trick and added an assist to lead Minnesota State to a 4-1 win against Alabama-Huntsville on Friday evening at Von Braun Center.

New Hampshire 5, St. Cloud State 3

Senior forward Ben Hanowski had a goal and an assist but St. Cloud State was defeated by New Hampshire, 5-3, on Friday night at the Whittemore Center.
