CC leads British Columbia 1-0 after one

Colorado College freshman Cody Bradley showed off a strong wrist shot, beating British Columbia goalie Steven Stanford with 5:46 left in the first period.

The power-play goal was assisted by sophomore defenseman Ian Young.

UBC dominated the first 10 minutes or so, looking much like a team with a few games under its belt compared to the Tigers, who were playing their opening contest.

CC’s forecheck started to work better at the halfway point with the Tigers generating some pressure and a couple decent scoring chances. One came off nice puckhandling by Rylan Schwartz to extend an opportunity. That pressure led to the first penalty of the game and the opening score.
