North Dakota’s Danny Kristo (45 points in 42 games) will return for his senior season. He is the top active scorer returning with 109 points (42 goals, 67 assists) in 117 career games. Here is the full UND press release.
In women’s hockey, UM senior and Pine Creek HS graduate Emily West of Colorado Springs finished her career among the top 10 scorers in Minnesota history. West ranks 10th in career points with 158. West ranks seventh all time in scoring with 82 career goals. One of those goals included the NCAA title game-winner on a penalty shot. That is a pretty cool way to go out.
It looks like there likely will be some announcements soon concerning the hockey ops director job and the postseason venue for the new National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
NOTE: I will be in North Little Rock, Arkansas covering the CC tennis teams at their league championships so the blog will be idle until my return early next week. In the interim, please check out USCHO, TheAhl.com and ECHL.com to follow the coaches meetings, NCHC and Tigers playing in the playoffs.
Have a good few days.
