Sioux, Huskies tied entering first intermission

ST. PAUL — St. Cloud State’s Ben Hanowski scored on a power play with 3:46 left in the first period to tie the game at 1-1 against No. 4 seed North Dakota in Thursday night’s quarterfinal headed into first intermission. Hanowski blasted a pass from Nic Dowd, sending Sioux goalie Aaron Dell’s water bottle flying.

UND’s Corban Knight scored early in the period on a deflection off a Huskies defender for an early 1-0 lead although SCSU.
