SCSU takes 2-1 lead into first intermission

Jared Festler banged home a rebound with 1:04 left in the first period to give St. Cloud State a 2-1 lead headed into the first intermission.

CC had come back to tie the game on a one-timer by Scott Winkler, his second score this series, on a backhanded crossing pass from behind the net by Alexander Krushelnyski with 4:12 left in the first.

Krushelnyski’s pass came off a rebound off a shot by Tigers defenseman Gabe Guentzel, who got the second assist.

SCSU opened the scoring when Garrett Milan scored his first point as a Husky, coming open by the left post for a quick put-in only 3:15 into the game.
