Air Force ties Alaska-Anchorage, 3-3

ANCHORAGE — John Kruse scored with 0.2 seconds remaining in the third period to force overtime after the visiting Falcons pulled goalie Jason Torf while on the power play for a 6-on-4 advantage for the final 60 seconds of regulation.
The teams skated a scoreless five-minute overtime for a 3-3 nonconference tie.
UAA (1-0-1) took a 3-2 lead late in third period, leading for the first time after the Falcons opened up a 2-0 lead on goals by Stephen Carew and Tony Thomas in the opening eight minutes.
Air Force (0-0-2) hosts Colorado College Friday and travels to Denver on Saturday. The Falcons tied Alaska-Fairbanks 3-3 Friday night in the opener of the Kendall Hockey Classic at Sullivan Arena.
Canisius defeated UAF earlier, 3-1. As a result, UAA won its own tournament with a 1-0-1 record
