Thursday reading: CC ice is in, ECAC tournament, Colorado Eagles

From CC sports information …

The World Arena finished installing new ice this week as preparations for the 2012-13 season get underway. Captain’s practices without coaches will start Sept. 10.   CC’s exhibition opener against British Columbia is 6:07 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7. The team can hold its first official practice the day before.

In other news, this College Hockey News columnist is pleased the ECAC chose to hold its postseason tournament at historic Lake Placid.

The ECHL’s Colorado Eagles, which includes former Tiger Arthur Bidwill, signed an affiliation agreement with the Winnipeg Jets organzation.
